It should be noted that this is a deck built with the idea that you're playing with someone using a combat-focused deck.

The beautiful and talented Daisy Walker was my choice for Night of the Zealot. My co-workers at my FLGS talked about everyone else's strengths and weaknesses, but Daisy was always mysteriously missing from that conversation. I took it upon myself to change that and made this deck to see how Daisy fared. The result: pretty well!

As a Seeker, Daisy's biggest strength, stat wise, is her Intellect. At a whopping 5, it's enough to investigate areas in The Gathering by herself, and any other tests requiring Intellect were well within her abilities. Her other stats (save Willpower) left a lot to be desired, though, so I built the deck in a way that covered Daisy's weaknesses while letting her strengths work for her.

Since my primary job was to investigate, Magnifying Glass and Dr. Milan Christopher are your top choices in an opening hand, with Deduction and Research Librarian as a close second. At whopping 7 Intellect when investigating, there's very few rooms (Obscuring Fog notwithstanding) that can hide its secrets from Ms. Walker.

For a more unorthodox clue getting way, I included Scrying and Drawn to the Flame as an obvious combo to make sure I wouldn't draw a tough enemy while getting 2 clues for free. However, don't rely on this method since this game has a tendency to suddenly put you in action point jeopardy.

I did mention that I wanted the deck to cover Daisy's weaknesses, and that's why I included Overpower, Manual Dexterity, and Holy Rosary. The first two were emergency cards in case an enemy appeared, and the Rosary was to enhance Shrivelling's power. Coupled with Fearless, it was a good way to shake off a random ghoul as well as heal a horror.

The weak points of the deck? Definitely the Knife and one too many Research Librarians. The Knife would never be useful since I have Shrivelling and Mind over Matter, and Research Librarian really ceases being useful after my tomes are out (except for a free resource from Forbidden Knowledge).

All in all, though, this deck played super well. I investigated with great ease and was never resource starved thanks to cheap cards (Dr. Milan Christopher being the most expensive at 4) and Emergency Caches putting me ahead.

I have 6 Experience Points to work with for The Midnight Masks scenario, so I'll be sure to publish my upgraded deck when I get to it. For now, though, Daisy continues to seek all the knowledge she can!
