Collecting 6 books and get +6 , +6 sanity is all this build about.

Yes, you can. 2 in the hands. 2 in the Daisy's Tote Bag and 2 Schoffner's Catalogues which are not taking hand slots.

Game balance is real. With all those big , you have no access to any high level spell due to deck building. All those brain power gathered just to cast apprentice spell , Shrivelling [bad card imo but we will manage] Blinding Light and Divination. Need to make consistency out of Shrivelling fighting power with the True Magick book(s).

Understanding your deck and cards

There are some essential cards in the deck that you should not afford to lose (you may lose some card via Forced Learning , Astronomical Atlas ,Written in the Stars ability)

Limited fighting power

• Shrivelling | without upgrade, you only got 8 shots with some Knifes :(

Limited money (resource) 6 books are expensive :(

• Emergency Cache
• Schoffner's Catalogue
• Sleuth

Limited disengagement Can only escape 4 times of engagement :(

• Blinding Light
• Mind over Matter

Limited health 5 health 2 :( this mean you can die with few treachery draw

• Heavy Furs
• Medical Texts
• the poor Research Librarian :(

And for certain, Daisy's Tote Bag is crucial for the build. and can save action for playing tome fast

Cards Explanation

In the Thick of It

Is optional but recommend. Since you will have big sanity pool with books and core card like True Magick are truly expensive.

True Magick

Weirdly enough. This is this deck's core card. Instead of playing Shrivelling with 3 costs you can play this book for 4 costs and you got +1 (but you can only fire once per turn tho) . would be ideal to have 2 True Magicks to utilize normal fighting along with ult. I know that is a ouchy upgrade price

Astronomical Atlas

Books in library is public knowledge. It's not only Norman Withers property. Considered as free draw if you can pass the test. Mind over Matter and Unexpected Courage will help to pass the random test of Atlas. The worst card to put into Atlas would be Emergency Cache not to mention this deck need quite a lot of resource.

If Atlas show weakness card it will stay there. Can shuffle it away to delay weakness a bit by using Old Book of Lore or Written in the Stars

Sleuth

• books discount. best to have early. free books. free action with Daisy's Tote Bag yum.
• can use with Holy Rosary too
• use with True Magick shots when nothing to buy anymore.

Ultimate

Once per game. You can unleash barrage of Shrivelling (if you got 2 True Magick) along with another of your other books like Medical Texts or The Necronomicon

You can combine Ultimate with 2 normal actions play on 2 True Magicks (since ult ignore cost) to get burst barrage of total 4 shots in a turn. Sick!

The Necronomicon

Devil book is still a book. Read or Die .

This is very few time you want to draw the unique weakness. since it still give you + with weakness instant Revelation 0 cost. looks easy compare to other books.

This is another benefit(?) of Forced Learning basically make it easier to find weakness card since 45/2 < 30/1

explanation : when you do the Forced Learning selective draw if one of them are weakness. You have no choice but to choose the weakness.

when you got actual 6th book then you may considered try to remove it.
