Aug 17, 2018Thank you for your answers. For context, I'm a LoR lcg player and I only played AH with Jenny. In AH lcg, I think I do not play a lot of cards in the end, and I have little draw. I find that the game has too much random. I play for a long time to set the stage so that in two rounds, by drawing two fail’s tokens away (or draw two weaknesses) you lose all the benefit of your preparation. Also I play only in easy mode. That respects more my idea of the game. Jenny uses a lot of resources. I do not know Roland except in the initiation scenario. So, About Professor Millan, it was my first choice, but I think playing the cop and the Prof is too much of resources. If I have both in my hand, I always play the wrong card. And after it’s more expensive to change. I think ! I prefer a card "to combine" my cards, and to have a second ally like that a toolbox, so maybe one Laboratory Assistant and one Art Student. About the survival knife, I did not know there could be enemies that you could not kill with melee weapons. This can actually change the spirit of the deck. About « Physical training » I play a lot with the same others cards with Jenny, and I don’t know if I can play it with resource’s Roland. Enough resources ? I will try without and add it if I see that it penalizes me too much. About Logical Reasoning and "If it bleeds… », I play it only because I play survival knife. |
Hello! Looks like a fun deck, though I have a few comments here and there if you don't mind?
Your Asset/Event/Skill split looks great. The cost curve is also nice.
Specifically talking about the Assets you chose:
I would maybe swap the Survival Knife for a firearm, like the .45 Automatic or .32 Colt. I don't know what campaign you are going to be playing, but I recently ran into a problem where only having melee weapons meant I couldn't deal with a certain enemy. I also don't think the Survival Knife is incredible if you already have Machete and are playing solo, because hopefully you aren't being attacked that often.
Where is Dr. Milan Christopher? I don't think you should have more than 4 allies without Charisma, but I wonder if Laboratory Assistant is worth it over Dr. Milan Christopher? Now, Beat Cop is a good card that also costs 4 resources, so maybe that would require some tweaking? On the other hand, Dr. Milan Christopher grants a lot of resources too.
Was the lack of Physical Training intentional? You have no way to increase your stats without committing cards. If you encounter an enemy with 5 or higher, I think you are going to be in trouble, especially if it has more than 2 health.
About the Events you chose:
Most of the events make sense, Emergency Cache, Prepared for the Worst, Shortcut and Working a Hunch are all things I agree with.
Logical Reasoning is a card I haven't played with, but seeing how it's a 1x I don't think it's a problem.
About your Skills:
Deduction and Vicious Blow are great. I wonder about Deduction's power in solo, especially since Roland prefers to get clues by killing enemies. If you have a bunch of 1-clue locations, Deduction becomes less powerful.
In conclusion, your deck seems fun and reasonably decent, but not tuned to a razor edge, so if you want to try solo I'd try to optimize a little?
Then again, I'm not an experienced Solo player, so most of this is based on what I've heard other people say.
Hope you'll have fun with this deck!
