The tracks continue for some time before vanishing , bafflingly, into the snow. There’s no sign of any struggle, nor are there any other tracks that might indicate where they could have gone. Could the winds have covered the tracks? And if so, why were you able to follow the rest of the footprints so easily?
But when you turn back to examine the prints you first followed, they too are gone.
