I played twice with this deck (same scenario both times). On my first game Rex died, not really his fault, there was nothing I could have done to save him. One bad draw on the encounter deck cost Rex 5 points of health in a single turn and he already had 1 damage on him.
The deck works for its purpose, he gathered every clue, without breaking a sweat, dodged a couple enemies, and did his thing. A change I would make would be to give him more icon cards to commit on his tests. I would also, probably add the leather coat or a bulletproof vest to raise his health a bit.
Any comments, suggestions, ideas, are highly welcomed.

Jul 15, 2020With this deck I didn't really feel any need for a second mr. moneymaker, as you call him, He is the most expensive card on the deck, other than him it is a cheap deck to play. I felt his economy did very well. his high with the flashlights, hyperawareness, magnifying glass and such cover the need of the +1 as a really pressing matter. I would probably change research Librarian for the leather coat, not sure how much of a good idea that is, what would you think about that change? |
Jul 16, 2020As your allowance only covers 5 non-seeker cards, you would need to cut another card. How often could you use Scavenge for Flashlights? From the 5, this one seems to help you the least. But in the end, it is a question of personal playstyle. You have 4 allies, which means you will draw into one every 7 cards. Plenty of "time" to sacrifice one of them in-between. But i think you don't want them as meat shields - sorry for being so blunt, creep! - so i guess i would let the cat at home. |
Jul 16, 2020Well If I take the Research Librarian and scavenging out, it would leave me with only 3 allies so Stray Cat would depend on what I replace one of those for, since the other would be leather coat. But I think Research Librarian would have to wait for some exp for the change. Or for me to buy more cards. |
Jul 17, 2020Generally speaking, attack is always preferred over flight. So basically you could opt to include some fight cards like Mind over Matter to get you covered.... |

Yes, the leather coat is always a good include! Again, on first sight, if i were you, i would include Mr. Moneymaker twice. This nerdy Entomologist really has something going on - he is every seeker's best friend. (Maybe that's the main reason i never play seekers, this guy gives me the creeps! On the other hand, i am just a small girl....)
