Focusing on what Wendy does best, this build is entirely geared towards making the most of your high agility. Many cards mentioned in the strategy section are present here, such as Bait and Switch, Hiding Spot, Pickpocketing, and Backstab. Lantern allows you to investigate at effectively 4 skill, while the single Flashlight is there just in case you encounter some more difficult locations.

The best thing about Wendy is you are not dependent on any asset in order to succeed. Finding your amulet is a nice boost, but even without it, you can still function very well. Peter Sylvestre is a neat boost to your already high Agility, and Pickpocketing does a good job of fuelling your ability and giving you plenty of options, but Wendy can perform bare-bones.

Due to your high survival stats (Willpower and Agility), you make an excellent explorer. Feel free to separate from the rest of the team in order to explore all the locations, as you’re generally able to escape from any sticky situation on your own. Alternatively, support your team with your utility events, or act as a tank by evading high damage enemies while the Guardian deals with other threats and the Seekers gather clues.

When levelling up, Lockpicks is an amazing cheap upgrade that allows you to not only scout, but grab clues very reliably. Close Call and Sneak Attack (Level 2) both provide you with extra, reliable ways to destroy enemies, while Snare Trap sets bad guys up for a pummelling. A Test of Will is not a bad repeat buy, as you’re able to cancel cards drawn by friends as well. While I don’t particularly like the others, Plucky does boost the two most important stats for you, and at a pretty cheap experience price. Aquinna (Level 3) is a solid buy as well, though she gets notably worse as you begin encountering more and more monsters (as they’re likely to deal Horror as well). Consider cutting Leather Jacket and Treasured Keepsake first, unless you find you’re really struggling staying alive. From there, you can cut Lantern or Flashlight for Lockpicks, or some utility events like Elusive to free up space.
