Me and my friend finally managed to finish Path to Carcosa (with Murder in Excelsior Hotel during campaign).

We won. Finished with two physical and 1 mental trauma. 8 xp available from last scenario. Maybe this deck isn't optimal but it worked well with more fighting focused Agnes Baker.

Hello and i have read your deck because I do too want to run a Carcosa campaign with Mandy.

Odd question regarding the XP in the second scenario. You say you used 8XP and had 1 remaining from the first scenario. That means you won 7XP. In scenario 2 you get 1XP per 2 clues as total for the team and then split them as evenly as possible. So if it was 7 for you then either another 7 or 8 for Agnes. But that means for a total of 28 or 30 clues gathered in total. If we count out the first 2 in the first room all the others are in the persons and the person are 5 with 3 on them (1 +2 for the persons) so total of 17 clues in total to the game. Did you split the XP at the end?

Great deck by the way

@MountainRoot I tried to double check that, but it was long time ago. I feel like we did everything right, but now when you say it, I'm not sure, you know. I remember that we finished it with many many clues. I tried to check that scenario, I can't find it but I feel that there is an effect somewhere there that is adding more clues to the board. If not, we just screwed that and ok, my or my friend's fault.

@MountainRoot [edit]: Well, everyone on internet says that 4 xp is max in The Last King, so maybe it was an issue with translation of out campaign guide (we play in Polish) and we didn't understand it correctly. I'm not sure why it happened.

The manual in English is on FFG sites to look up on it. I do not want to put it here because it's a Resolution part and it might be taken as spoiler. The thing is that you get basically 1XP per clues that you have find. Then you split it as evenly as possible. So if it was 7 then it should have been 3 and 4 between Mandy and Agnes. If you consider that this happened in the second scenario and the cards you bought lasted until the end it was a huge XP advance from the start because Carcosa doesn't give any XP like all the other campaigns.

Just wanted to make sure because I really liked both decks and took a closer look.

@MountainRoot Yeah, I see that, I still don't know why it happened and why I didn't consider that amount of xp a bit suspicious even if it was our first time playing Carcosa. Of course it probably helped too much when playing on standard.

Thanks for pointing it out, now I'll make sure to double check any not obvious xp gains. It's not really that we broke the game with that, some scenarios were still challenging, but I'll be more careful when we start another one.
