Hi, that's what I came up with for our fourth campaigne (Edge of the World) with my 4player-group.

We startet with the NotZ and Starter Decks, followed by Dunwich and lastly we finished Carcosa. I played Daisy in first two and switch to Minh in the last campaigne.

The sidedeck are upgrade ideas. I know it's impossible to play them all in one run because of XP and Deck restrictions. And at least I also don't know what to cut for one or the other card.

So maybe you have some advice, what to change in the starter deck and to upgrade...

Thanks =)

Seems like with Short Supply you'd want Scavenging as another good option to get back your discard items. Similarly, even if you're not the main fighter, having something so you have the option at least would be nice (and Survivor has some really good weapon options). I'm partial to the Meat Cleaver myself. Lastly, unless one of the other people in your group is using them, having an ally is usually worth it, especially ones as good as Peter Sylvestre or Granny Orne, even at level 0.

So what to take out to make use of them? Honestly as much as I like Dark Horse and Mariner's Compass, you've got a lot of stuff to spend money on and while it's true you can use that to turn Dark Horse on and off, it does get in the way of "Look what I found!" and Shed a Light at least sometimes. It's not that these can't work or are bad, they just have the least synergy with the "fail forward"/"auto-succeed" part of the deck.

On the topic of money, you've got plenty to spend it on so having more would be nice. Since we're already looking at Short Supply + Scavenging, Schoffver's Catalogue would work well here to pay for things, give you something to recur, and even help your teammates with their money troubles.

So, something like -2 Dark Horse, -2 Mariner's Compass, -1 Track Shoes, +2 Scavenging, +1 Meat Cleaver, +1 Peter Sylvestre, +1 Schoffver's Catalogue seems good to me.

Short Supply is an relict of the first version with scavanging (I forgot to delete)...but after i looked over it, i thought with 2 book it isnt likely to get something back with it...

Remember, with Stella (especially this version of her), you're looking to use Keyring/Gumption (and later Quick Learner) to reduce the difficulty of a test to 0, not make straightforward tests. In those situations, you only need to pull a 0 (or better) for Scavenging to work.

At the same time, Stella only having two Intellect (Book) is part of why I'm not a fan of Compass on her. Compass gives her no extra Intellect by itself, you need to spend resources on it (in addition to it costing 3). That's tough for Stella as she has no extra resources herself.

Honestly if you want a 3rd/4th option for Investigating (and don't want Short Supply + Scavenging to find/rebuy Keyrings) I'd go with the classic Flashlight. It's a basic card but does the exact thing Stella/Shed a Light wants (reducing check difficulty) just like Keyring.
