This is the fully upgraded version of the deck with the same name. Basically, your main role is to be a clue - gatherer. In combat there are some things you can do to mitigate damage to yourself.

Magnifying glass will help you get clues easily. Once you get Dr. Milan out you shouldn't have any problems getting clues in the first scenario.

Mists of ry'leh and Shriveling are your survival cards and should be used sparingly.

St. Hubert's key is not a huge priority in the first scenario, but it can definitely help if you have it. If you don't have Dr. Milan out or are struggling for resources you may want to hold off on playing it until you're set up a bit better.

True grit, emergency aid, dodge, and Painkillers will help you survive a few hits if you get into some trouble and don't have your mists or Shriveling out.

Use dynamite mid to late scenario if something is chasing you and hasn't engaged yet. If you have true grit out you may dynamite yourself to take out a few baddies and still survive.

If you feel you don't need the dynamite, you can replace it with fieldwork.

Astral travel Will get you to the "resign" location at the end of the game or to someone who can take heat off of you if needed. This is a card I recommend using near the end of a scenario. It comes in pretty clutch.

Drawn to the flame, and working a hunch will help you get clues quickly and assist with high shroud locations, while also providing action economy.

Shortcut is a ridiculously good card and can help in many situations.

Uncage the soul is for those times when you are low on resources and need to get Shriveling or mists out. If you get that plus one of the spells in your first hand, keep 'em both as this will help big time in keeping resources early game (which is when you'll need them most).

Once you're swimming in money with Dr. Milan, you can sacrifice him to get foolishness out. Mid to late game is best. Use liquid courage and fearless (use fearless on the willpower test liquid outrage requires) to quickly get foolishness working.

Once you get some xp, the deck really comes into its own.

You will put both copies of shortcut and your single copy of dodge under "stick to the plan" and play them as needed.

Cheat death will get you out of sticky situations late-game. Keen eye is an insurance policy and also to help you investigate.

Charisma will allow you to use both Milan Christopher and "Foolishness" to great effect.

Your upgrade order will be as follows:

  • Get charisma first. This will allow you to get the Dr. And Foolishness out and become a beast.

  • Your second upgrade should be "stick to the plan". This will give you consistency with shortcut and dodge for both action economy and survivability.

  • Key of Ys should be next. Replace 1 copy of St. Huberts key with this card. This should get priority of play over St. Hubert if you happen to have both in hand.

  • Next upgrade should be relic hunter, as this will allow you to have both keys out at the same time. At this point investigating should be a breeze.

  • Upgrade both copies of "fearless" next. This will give you a chance to get foolishness working in 1 action when used for the liquid courage willpower test.

  • Cheat Death will replace true grit and emergency aid. Upgrade one first (replacing emergency aid), then get stand together and pathfinder, then upgrade the second one.

  • Stand Together will replace the 1 copy of uncage the soul.

  • Pathfinder is not a huge priority in this deck, as you have shortcut on demand with stick to the plan and also can Astral travel. It's a phenomenal card, but for this deck I wouldn't get it until you get all of the above upgrades first. This card will replace 1 copy of dodge. Trust me it's worth it.

  • Finally, get your magnifying glass upgraded (you'll really only get this to reduce the cost to 0, so that's why it's the last upgrade).

"You will put both copies of shortcut and your single copy of dodge under "stick to the plan"... "

Don't think you can do that. Stick to the plan requires 3 different cards...

Good catch, I hadn't noticed they had to be different. In that case put a dynamite blast, shortcut, and dodge under "stick to the plan".
