4 Player Compatible
I've seen a lot of requests for 4 player compatible decks for Brethren of Ash (i.e. requiring one core set) - this is my take on it. I don't play 4 player so these are untested, but I'm sure they'll work fine (and there's a number of concepts similar to playtested decks). I'll keep these guides briefer than normal!
NOTE: The version issue persists on ArkhamDB where you can't post decks with new versions of old cards. Please use Ch2 cards of the same name in all cases.
Overview
Stats Clue-finding: ★★☆☆☆ Consistency: ★★★★☆ Enemy Management: ★★★★★ Encounter Defense: ★★☆☆☆ Survivability: ★★★☆☆ Simplicity: ★★★☆☆
Role: Damage dealer.
Concepts and Combos: You have ample strong weapons to fight enemies with, likely saving any Winchester Model 12 you find for the big bad guy). There's also 27 icons here to help with killing, plus Counterattack. Clues are Lesson Learned, "Look what I found!" and Scene of the Crime, with these events being recurable with Hunter's Instinct. There's barely any card draw, Right Tool for the Job will help find weapons and you can also draw a card with an enemy around and punish their attack of opportunity with Daniela's ability.
Drawbacks: While Levelheaded can help with treacheries, sticking close to Izzie for commits from her and healing horror using Lucky Charm with Dexter are recommended. Resilience will help with soak should you need it. Resource economy is quite poor if you want to be playing events (though remember Hunter's Instinct can recur Emergency Cache) so you may need to take resource actions.
Campaign starter and planned progression
For the starter deck, please remove any XP bearing cards and instead use the cards listed in the side deck. A recommended order of purchases/upgrades is:
Final thoughts
Hope you enjoy something that works for four player (I'm lazily going to use this outro on all decks!). For more optimal decks for lower player counts, I would suggest using the fully playtested decks I posted previously. Let me know what you think...
