!! WARNING !!
This deck is bad. Like, really bad. It’s built for multiplayer, but please only bring this if your teammates are the kind of friends who will laugh while they roast you.
This is a deck that spends about 10 turns just setting up, only to finally start swinging an axe when the game is practically over.
The "How many hands?!" Combo
Believe it or not, this deck uses 6 hand slots. How? First, you trap an enemy in the binder's jar to bump your Arcane slots to 4. Then, you play Astral Mirror to convert those 4 Arcane slots into Hand slots. Now you can finally dual-wield Boxing Gloves while holding a Runic Axe.
Why so much Draw and so little Search?
You might notice I didn't include weapon-searching cards. Instead, I crammed in every Spirit trait draw card I could find. Why? Because without Astral Mirror, Mary is just a frail civilian with 3 Combat who can’t hit anything even with an axe. If you still think this is too much, feel free to swap out the Dynamite Blast for more search power.
Tips for Survival (and Team Morale)
Ever Vigilant: Use this for your teammates. You owe them. Dynamite Blast: If enemies start piling up while you're still "preparing," just throw it. A Mary who isn't set up is useless; you need to toss some explosives just so your teammates don't kick you out of the group.
What to find with Boxing Gloves?
Winds of Power: To recharge your Runescarved Axe instantly (This is why I skipped the Saga expansion).
Stand Together: To keep your deck cycling.
Quick Shot: Perfect for clearing out those 1-HP Aloof enemies (Essential if you're running The Scarlet Keys on Hard, like I did).
Glory: For immediate draw potential. searching with globe and using Glory is same timing. so you can use it.
ward of protection: yes. it is truely spirit lmao
The Economy: Bounty vs. Voice of Ra
I went with Bounty , but it’s a matter of taste. Voice of Ra is great early game because of all the Bless tokens, but in the mid-to-late game, spending an action on it feels like a waste. That said, drawing a Bounty early means you have to wait for someone else to kill the target, which can be awkward.
Conclusion
Honestly, this deck is fun—for me, at least. If your team has a great sense of humor, or if you’re just looking for a fresh, creative piece of "garbage" to pilot, give it a shot.
