A very simple, yet effective chapter 2-only card pool Carolyn deck, which focuses on discovering clues and horror healing. Carolyn is a very strong investigator, which can get you where you need to be (the end of a scenario), if you would be so kind to keep those enemies off. I haven't included any attack or evade cards, as this deck requires someone else to manage the enemies. Instead I have focused on efficient clue finding and means to heal horror, which conveniently translates to more clues.
The basic goal is to build a board with Dorothy Simmons /University Archivist, then capitalize on Experimental Psychology and Dreamer's Chronicle to turn horror into resources and clues. I have also included a good number of skills to toss here and there for support, as well as the staple Deduction for even more clue finding power. Private Practice is a great card for this deck, as it solves the problem of resources by effectively reducing the cost of each horror healing event by 1, and then making you some extra with Experimental Psychology.
The upgrade path of this deck is pretty open. I'd say you need at least one Charisma to enable a second ally slot. You want Dorothy/Archivist on the board and the second slot allows you to also take advantage of Psychology Student. After that, you can choose some absolute banger events like Commune with the Cosmos for even more clue finding power (especially in multiplayer games and locations with 6+ clues on them, as you can sweep 5 of them with this), Unbridled Knowledge for insane card draw, or the upgraded Psychoanalysis, which is an amazing support option in higher count games. Once again, I don't mention the attack/options, as I keep the focus on the clue and support roles, but Hypnotize seems like an interesting option for dealing with those chonky Bat Horrors and Hellhounds when the situation calls for it.
As for assets with experience, I really like Autopsy Report for the extra investigate actions, plus it is another tome to find with Archivist. I didn't get to test Scroll of the Pharaohs, though I would say managing the encounter deck seems to me the best option. Scroll of the Pharaohs seems a bit overkill for Carolyn and her base 5 Intellect. You can achieve similar results with Dreamer's Chronicle. The fight option is the least appealing, since you are buffing your fight to only 4 with it and that doesn't seem good enough for some of the baddies.
Overall, this is a very undemanding deck that simply gets the job done to discover all of the clues and keep the team horror-free. If someone deals with them enemies, you will be speeding through the scenario like crazy.
