Daniela Reyes Go Go - Taking the Hits!
Investigator & Role: Daniela Reyes (Guardian / Survivor). Her main role is "Tank" and primary enemy manager (Fighter), protecting the rest of the team while leveraging the attacks she takes to counter-attack and push the scenario forward.
Experience Points (XP): Deck in progress (19 XP).
Core Strategy:
The engine of this deck is Daniela's investigator ability: taking attacks to deal automatic damage. The plan is to soak damage and horror using allies like Bodyguard and Detective Sherman, allowing Daniela to control enemies without spending as many actions fighting. Bandages are crucial to heal that constant incoming damage and keep us standing.
Key Cards & Synergies:
The Weapons (Sledgehammer & Meat Cleaver): The Meat Cleaver is ideal for managing our sanity and hitting hard, while the upgraded Sledgehammer gives us the option to deal massive burst damage against bosses or elite enemies.
Charisma + Allies: With Charisma, we can have Bodyguard and Detective Sherman in play at the same time, turning Daniela into an impenetrable wall.
Clue Acceleration: Even though Daniela is heavily combat-oriented, events like "Look what I found!" and Lesson Learned take advantage of our failed tests or the damage we take to scoop up clues from high-shroud locations.
Economy & Card Draw:
We are running 2x Emergency Cache to fund our heavy equipment and events like Right Tool for the Job, along with skills like Overpower and Unexpected Courage to cycle the deck a bit during key tests.
Feedback Requested / Weaknesses:
(Note: Delete or edit what you don't need)
Do you think 2x Emergency Cache provides enough economy to afford the Sledgehammer and the high-cost allies?
Any recommendations to improve card draw or Daniela's mobility in larger scenarios?
What XP upgrades would you recommend looking into for the upcoming scenarios?| 3 comments |

Jul 29, 2026Thanks a lot for the feedback! I wanted to let you know that, for now, I can't include #Stalk Prey because I don't have Miguel de la Cruz yet, but I will definitely consider it for the future. Thinking it over, I made a couple of changes. I decided to remove #Sledgehammer and put in #Service Revolver instead. Since that freed up 6 XP, I took out #Restrained and #Make 'em sing, and added #Counterattack and #Bounty. I also went ahead and upgraded #Vicious Blow to its experienced copy. Thanks again for the help! |
Jul 29, 2026No problem at all. If you get Miguel's deck, you could consider Pocketknife over Service Revolver. You can then use that as a finisher against enemies to gain resources, and with its +1 boost and +1 from Detective Sherman you fight at a 7, which tends to be a nice benchmark. Best of luck when you give the deck a go! |
Hey there - nice deck! I think using Daniela's ability to put damage on allies who like damage is a fun concept.
For your questions.
1) No I don't think it covers the cost, I would recommend Bounty as a result.
2) I would add in Stalk Prey - it's card draw and a clue, and then you can use Sherman or more clues. For mobility there's Loner, but it's another asset to play (but likely refunds itself if you get a few moves out of it). Personally I'd still give it a miss.
3) Scrape By is too good to pass-up. That and upgraded Vicious Blow are both good ideas. Extra Rations could replace Bandages as well (allowing a bit more flexibility around timing of heals).
Overall I would remove Restrained and "Make 'em sing" for Stalk Prey and Bounty. For further ugrades, Scrape By could replace Unexpected Courage, and Extra Rations could replace Bandages. Vicious Blow replaces itself.
