FFG has just released the previews for "In the Clutches of Chaos" and in this preview is a new mystic ally, Dayana Esperence and it's a great ally indeed!

It is not placed in your discard pile after it is played (it remains attached). As an additional cost to play the event, exhaust Dayana and spend 1 secret.

Dayana has the potential to turn one-time great events into a powerful routine.

Here comes Marie Lambeau, with her 4 intellect, her acces to Enraptured and Truth from fiction and her deckbuilding requirements that allow her to use all spells.

With Enraptured and Truth from Fiction she can fuel Dayana's secrets to help her turn this already powerful routine into a main feature of the investigator. Marie Lambeau, the investigator able to play the same spell five or six times!

So I've been thinking.

Ad from this thinking comes this "idea of a deck": Marie Trinity. I have tried to focus on three aspects of a mystic Dayana could help Marie incarnate according to the needs of the party. This offers her a lot of versatlity:

-The Warrior: with shrivelling and Storm of Spirit attached to Dayana, Marie can turn full Nova-mode, Dayana will take care of the damage you get with a bullshit token.

-The Queen: With Dayana, Marie has the power to say "NO"! Counterspell and Time Warp ("Let's do the Time Warp again...and again...and again) make her a powerful controller turning failures into success and undoing bad choices.

-The Mother: your team is afraid of the treacheries that lie ahead? Marie will comfort you cause there's no Frozen in Fear that will resist Alter Fate and no treachery that can't be cancelled by a well placed Ward of Protection. Clarity of Mind helps you play this motherly figure and deal with the horror that entail using shrivelling and drawing Wards of Protection all over the city!

I'm only beginning this theorycrafting and of course I need help! Should I use Calling in Favors for more shennanigans with allies? Should I use Blood Pact. Should I replace the Key by a simple rosary because Key of St Hubert is too expensive?

I know this deck is more of a way to forge than an end of campaign deck, it looks expensive XP wise even if Arcane Research helps mitigate the cost. Maybe at the beginning of the campaign Delve Too Deep will help as the presence of William Yorick by your side! I think in the beginning of the campaign Deny Existence will be a good spell to have attached to Dayana.

You see I need advice and your thoughts on this idea.

Edit: I've forgotten Charisma!!!! Of course Marie Trinity is charismatic because she needs both the damage soak and the horror soak of Dayana and the Arcane Initiate! And she doesn't want to lose Dayana to an ill-timed Baron Samedi!
