This is an attempt to build an all-round Pete for solo play, with only one core set and the first dunwich box. The idea is to have a back-up for killing enemies when Duke is exhausted (possible +2 fight on each weapon) and also allow a decent investigation(mostly Magnifying Glass, but also Lucky!,"Look what I found!",Evidence!). Neutral cards cover up unexpected skill tests. As only one core set means a lack of double cards, I have chosen to use many one-use neutral cards (e.g. Guts,Overpower) to quickly handle situations where Pete is not already set up. Although possibly unreliable, Peter Sylvestre synergizes with Ward of Protection. I also chucked in Evidence! and Vicious Blow to get some free actions in. This goes for the neutral "draw 1 card if succesful"-cards as well.
One possible issue is that lack of long-term cards, I will have to update once I've played it. I imagine that I need to finish each scenario quickly before I run out of cards (although Scavenging should help). In the end however, at least 1/3 of all my turns will involve using duke, so this might not prove to be a great problem.
