This deck is inspired by Artiste Elusive [Co-op & Solo] - "Magnum Opus" Version" by DadouXIII (https://arkhamdb.com/decklist/view/5311/artiste-elusive-co-op-solo-magnum-opus-version-1.0), no xp version is kinda similar, but the upgrade path is much different to allow you using Chuck and its incredible power!

With low xp, you will be able to use your high mobility skills to control and deal with ennemies, as well as deal them damage with Azure Flame and gather clues with Rite of Seeking. You'll have good economy with Lone Wolf and Dario, which will allow you to take full advantage of Arcane Studies for these spell assets.

The trick then is to slowly transition towards a more fight/evade oriented deck, using adaptable to switch your low-cost/mobility rogue events (Narrow Escape, Think on your feet, Elusive...) for level 0 event that combo with Chuck Fergus (Cheap Shot, Sneak Attack, Sneak by, Pilfer). While doing that, you'll spend your xp to get more economy and most importantly to add Chuck Fergus to your deck!

Clue : 3/5 You can gather some clues with Rite of Seeking, Draxn to the Flame and later Pilfer

Ennemy management : 4/5 You can fight with Azure Flame but mainly Backstab and other Rogue event later. You have high agility which allows you to manage and control ennemies easily. You might not be as deadly as a Guardian, but you will prove very useful and versatile.

Treachery : 4/5 Your high agility and mental stats, plus Moxie, protects you well against the encounter deck ; not to mention the 2 wards of protection you have.

Consistency : 4/5 You rely mainly on resources management and event, which you have a lot of. Your allies will be important but not mandatory. Your huge opening hand will make it easy to at least find one of them. In the mid/late game, you should be able to increase your stats by a large margin to succesfully pass tests.

Upgrades :

With Arcane Research: Improve Rite of seeking first (unless you really don't need to gather clues) and then Ward of Protection.

1st : Adaptable (it'll allow us to transition by switching events! It's the heart of the deck, because now we can spend or xp solely on Chuck Fergus and useful cards, while simply using adaptable to add those expensive lv 0 event that wouldn't have worked in our 0xp deck, but will be great with more economy and Chuck - see bellow), Charon's Obol (we do want those 10 "free" xp)

2nd : Moxie (replace Arcane Studies), Léo de Lucas (replace Dario El-Amin) and economy cards : Hot Streak x1 (replace Unexpected Courage), Easy Mark (replace Arcane Initiate and Emergency Cache) and later if needed Another Day, Another Dollar! Moxie is the reason why you use Azure Flame instead of Shrivelling (this and the hard difficulty making it less likely to trigger than Shrivelling)

In the meantime : using Adaptable, add lv 0 events which will be great with Chuck: Sneak by, Sneak Attack, Cheap Shot, Pilfer -if you need clues- (you can replace Think on your feet, Narrow Escape, Elusive, Drawn to the Flame)

3rd : CHUCK and Charisma ! (you can remove unexpected Courage, and one storm of Spirits)

4th : Spend xp to improve backstab, and optionnaly Cheap Shot and Pilfer in order to get them back in hand thanks to the +2 given by Chuck (and stat improvement given by Moxie) (unfortunately this does not combo with The Painted World - if the effect is triggered, The Painted World still is removed from the game and nothing else fancy happens), yet being able to get back backstab after backstab is incredible. You can add Under Surveillance, a fun and unusual way to combo with Chuck and later Delilah if you feel like it.

5th: Delilah with another Charisma : You should have an incredible resource management, so it's a great time to add in Delilah, who will be very useful to deal damage to exhausted ennemies (and exhausting ennemies is what you do best).

There you might want to add Another day, Another Dollar if you find it necessary.

From now on it's party time :

  • Relic Hunter + The Red Clock for better economy and cool turns
  • Double, Double for more crazy combos
  • Time Warp for fun
