This is a deck that went through TFA with 2 other investigators, as we just wanted to see how would Marie behave with some new cards and without her chains (tabboo list). It was surprisingly good, and even switched from a bit of fighting to a full cluever as she would go from location to location and pick up insane amount of clues in a single action with those glyphs and her skills. It was refreshing to see a Mystic do something different than Shrivelling + Clue spells, and it was immensely fun to watch.
There were some problems with with economy so my friend ran David Renfield at the start but soon realised he was always swimming in resources thanks to Crack the Case and after upgrading Uncage the Soul it was non-issue ever again, so he cut him out.
Overall we were very pleased and i can wholeheartedly recommend this deck if you wanna try something different!
Hey! I am also playing with a Marie deck, right now. For me she was a pretty strange investigator to figure out, but I came up with something similar, and it has a been pretty fun time for me, too!
Just to check a rule with you: is it possible to take Sin-Eater with Marie? I thought about it, but I wasn't sure how the Exceptional rule worked exactly.
