Lola met Preston while she was in Paris, and had one wonderful month with him, even despite the growing dread surrounding her play. When her co-star Miriam was found dead, she thought Preston would disappear, but he surprised her by staying at her side, more supportive than she would have expected from her playboy fling. Now he's off on some archaeological expedition to Mexico and wants her with him. It is, after all, that or continue with her play...

A deck for a multiplayer playthrough of The Forgotten Age; Players chose their characters and I tried to buld decks that would supplement each other.

Lola's role in the party is predominately support, with cards from , and alongside the Dark Horse which boosts her stat line to even fours. Most of her cards are things that give a static boost, or a permanent effect on game play (like The Chthonian Stone), leaving her with actual events and actions in the and class that heal her companions or herself, after they've transferred damage via Solemn Vow (which, after its first play, is activated by the investigator taking heal, not by Lola herself so doesn't need her to be a Guardian to work.)

Lola's upgrades will start with tarot, because of their easy passive boost that can be activated early in the game.

Playing

Hard mulligan for Dark Horse - soft mulligan for an accessory or Magnifying Glass - something that boosts stats. With a 3/4 baseline you can handle a variety of tests quickly while your companions set up and while you get your helpful assets ready. Lola has more intelligence boosts than any other stats, so she can get some of those clues early in the game.

Once Dark Horse is in play, switch out of your role as quickly as possible to avoid losing it with a Crisis of Identity. Remember that in order to activate the triggered ability on Tetsuo Mori, you need to be a Guardian before he takes the damage.

Use your books and spells to heal yourself and your companions, and remember that many of your assets (Tetsuo, True Grit and Something Worth Fighting For) can take damage on their behalf.

At the very beginning of the Upkeep phase, plan your roles foor the next round. If you haven't switched roles yet, consider switching to so you can't lose any cards if you draw a Crisis of Identitythis phase, but if you have cards of two different roles you want to play or activate next round, think about which order you'll do that in, and what you risk in you do have a Crisis of Identity.
