Preston tries not to think about the source of his family money, and he doesn't think about it even harder since the death of his father. In fact the lengths he will go to to avoid getting involved in his family have earned him quite the reputation. He's a good source of money, and always willing to travel, if it takes him a long way from Arkham.

When Alejandro Vela came to Miskatonic University seeking funding and resources for an expedition looking for the city of Eztli, he was provided a small amount of money, but refused more than a cursory amount of human resources. Miskatonic professor Harlan Earnstone, however, knew that his old student Preston Fairmont was always looking for new and inventive ways of spending his money, and suggested that the millionaire's thirst for adventure and bulging address book may provide where the University proved reluctant.

Of course, Preston jumped at the opportunity for a vacation more interesting than his family's excursions. He hired a federal agent unemployed cop who needed the extra income and owed him a favour, found a sailor to guide them down, and of course brought along his lady of the moment, "for inspiration."

A deck designed for a multiplayer play-through of the Forgotten Age. This deck relies on Preston using an action every turn to cash his Family Inheritance, and relying very heavily on his teammates (through and ) to handle the heavy lifting while he uses his money to stay alive and keep moving. Winging It and, later, Lola Santiago will convert his money to clues, while Elusive, Stealth, and Think on Your Feet keep him moving - and of course if things get too tough he's always got an escape route.

Of course, I built the deck BEFORE drawing Paranoia as his weakness, but that's just the way things go.
