Hey! I am currently trying Return to Forgotten Age with a friend (sylas) and im loving this deck! I still didnt play this deck with this XP but it is what I am aiming for. The main goal of the deck is: Strange solution for evade, ancient Stone for damage and getting clues! Through investigate and events (later with farsight). One thing I noticed is that you Will draw your deck pretty quick so be ready to handle Many cards in your hand. Hard mulligan for mr rook so you can draw your weakness early and thats it! have fun. If you have questions or if you need more explanations, tell me and ill develop this description! merry x mas!!

Question 1: How many times are you drawing through your entire deck, on average?

Question 2: What is the maximum number of cards to keep in hand?

Question 3: How do you mitigate Thrice-Damned Curiosity? If you keep 12 cards, that's 4 damage; more than half of your health pool. If you draw that weakness again, or get hit once or twice by an enemy or encounter card, you're dead.

Hey! And happy new year! So by order:

Question 1: On average, I draw one deck and half (meaning I draw every card, I take the horror, and then some more cards before scenario ends)

Question 2: I changed Dream-Enhancing Serum to another copy of Arcane Enlightenment. So the maximum would be 16 cards in your hand, I usualy have in between 7-12 cards max. (I try to have 12 to play Extensive Research) And after your weakness is drawn is quite easy to have that many.

Question3: The real question! I HARD MULLIGAN for Mr rook, first turn I play him and I start using him to search for Thrice-Damned Curiosity. And only after I draw my weakness I start drawing like a mad man via Perception; Eureka!; Vault of Knowledge; Laboratory Assistant;and Mr. "Rook". So anytime you draw any card from one of these, you draw an extra one (limit one per turn) but you will see its quite alot. Later on you can just Glimpse the Unthinkable to have full hand, and if you have your Ancient Stone in your hand, you one shot any mob depending on how many secrets you have on it.

Im almost done with the Forgotten age and I am loving him

Thanks for the detailed breakdown! Amazing.

So in the first run-through of the deck, the goal is to get keep a 6-8 card hand until Thrice-Damned Curiosity is drawn and resolved. Then, draw a big hand and benefit with Farsight. Once you get to the point that you shuffle your discard pile back into your deck, then I presume that you scale back down to 7-10 cards so that you only suffer 2-3 damage. Am I right?

Glad to hear that playing Harvey has been a fun experience. I've come across a lot of reviews, with the general opinion that Harvey is just a worse Mandy/Daisy. That he's best played similar to Minh, as a support character who gives his card draw to other investigators to benefit the team. Do you find Harvey to be a good investigator?

Thats exactly it! If im getting scared when Im drawing the deck for the second time and I have plenty of cards in my hands I usualy make a MEGA commit of cards into an investigation check.. " I am going to investigate this Room with a shroud of 3... and I commit 6 cards with intelect icons" XD and btw one thing, I have Veda Whitsley that I got from playing return FTA and she is an AMAZING soak for 1 resource coast!?! Or even mr rook with no secrets sometimes dies to the cause Thrice-Damned Curiosity.

I am having a blast playing him, because it makes me think A LOT, and I like investigators like that. So if I make a bad play or something, Its because I made a wrong decision and not just "bad luck".

Hum, He is definitly not that bad like people say, because you will have SO many decisions to make that makes a really good and rewarding experience, but we got plenty of Xp during campaign, currently 59 Xp, its insane!
