William will be my combat survivor alongside Akachi. The plan is to use Peter Sylvestre and Leather Coat to tank (Later with Brother Xavier), and hopefully use Evidence! to grab some clues.

Interesting combination in Gravedigger's Shovel and Vicious Blow 2 - should be a reliable 3 damage.

Also good to get would be Will to Survive, and some Exile cards (Flare, Stroke of Luck

Did a similar idea this weekend,

I like Leather Coat in your deck, but I ran True Grit instead. Leather Coat is free, but True Grit lets you absorb some damage for Akachi, which I found to be very useful.

Beat Cop-2 was very handy as well, he's expensive, but good for triggering William Yorick's ability.

I had success with Baseball Bat. 2 hands is sort of annoying, but the bonuses are good enough. I think I prefer it to Fire Axe, which eats up his resources.

Yeah, I like that leather coat was free. Recycled it 4 times. You could run both, though. My plan is to try to use Brother Xavier in the future to soak up damage for Akachi (and horror for William).

I'm not convinced about Fire Axe either; William needs a little money to put items into play. Machette seems a more straight-forward option.

The downside to the is that it's expensive - both allies and machette. I may have to pay for a couple of Teamworks, as Akachi has Alchemical Transmutation, and can produce a lot of resources.

AT THE RISK OF SPOILERS: Leather Coat and Peter Sylvestre basically made William immune to the Royal Emissary; when it appeared, he could just hack away at it, and retrieve the leather coat when he's done.
