Following the Edge of the Earth run with this deck, I wanted to revisit Monterey. The EotE run was a success, but the deck had too many assets. So the goal has been:
Can you run an asset-light Monterey deck with Underworld Support?
Answer: yes.
This deck successfully completed War of the Outer Gods alongside Nathaniel Cho. I had been worried that if I didn't find the assets quick enough, I'd be in trouble. That didn't turn out to be the case. Eon Chart and Ariadne's Twine didn't show up until late, but I had enough events, resources and card-draw in hand to carry me through. (Note: although this isn't a Taboo deck, I do play Dr. Milan Christopher such that he can only generate one resource per turn).
Next, I want to build a zero XP version to see if Asset Light/Event Heavy Underworld Support can work in solo.
