old version intended for solo, probably needs to be updated

welcome comments and ideas... love to hear how to improve investigating for this deck

I'd be interested in seeing this with Quick Learner, Captivating Discovery, & Research Notes. To really power up the clue dropping since you're only using a one-hand weapon. For that one-hand weapon, Hungering Blade could be pretty interesting!

Quick Learner looks like it’s a Survivor card… and this deck includes Quick Study.

Research Notes is super tempting to help cope with investigating. In solo it might work to cut the Survival Knife?

The Hungering Blade is super tempting, but given Roland’s low horror it’s a bit risky.

The best Well Prepared does is a +2 for a fight test when survival knife is out. You'd probably be better off spending the 2xp on another Survival Knife, or another Quick Study for consistency. You definitely don't need 2 boots. And theres very little Horror soak for all those treacheries you're likely to fail.

Consistency would be an issue for sure,

@Rolandironfist what do you think about two copies of Mr. "Rook"? He gives 3 searches and then is cheap soak. He’d go a long way to assembling the important cards…

Mr Rook is good for sure. It also gets your weakness out earlier so you can deal with it. The issue would be stalling progress on the game to deal with it. Maybe take out dodge for Scene of the Crime
