Built for Labyrinths of Lunacy epic multiplayer.
Well Prepared is a bonkers good card that combos really well with upgraded pump talents. I opted for a more investigation-oriented Skids, and he did really well in that regard. With, 2x Well Prepared, upgraded Hard Knocks, and Lockpicks, Skids has the potential to get up to 11 for one Investigate action before any Streetwise (or other) boosts, or 9 for two Investigate actions before any boosts.
Lucky Cigarette Case drew me quite a few cards, so was worth the inclusion.
Pay Day basically ended up being two extra Emergency Cache and it was difficult to use in Labyrinths of Lunacy due to all the cards that cause you to lose actions, but it helped keep the pump assets relevant for the whole game
Daring Maneuver was garbage and never got used for its actual ability.
Leo De Luca was useless and never got played, but I was already struggling to find a decent ally for Skids to help with the direction I took the deck. A 6-cost ally was not the solution, and I struggling to stay alive/sane due to a lack of places to dump damage and horror.
Take the Initiative is borderline broken for encounter deck willpower tests, which Skids is going to struggle with. Since (generally) no one has taken any actions during the Mythos Phase, you get all three wild icons to contribute to whatever the encounter deck throws at you.
The biggest change I would make would be to swap out at least one upgraded Hard Knocks and swap in at least one upgraded Physical Training to combo with Well Prepared. I often found myself wishing I had a better willpower target for Well Prepared for willpower tests, and Lucky Cigarette Case fell into that role during play. Hard Knocks was great for both strength and agility, but Physical Training was an obvious choice for a willpower target for Well Prepared that I somehow missed during my initial deckbuilding.
It was a really fun deck and I enjoyed going against the instincts of making Skids more combat-oriented because of his Guardian sub-class, and instead making him ridiculously strong at clue-gathering.
