This is the decklist that accompanies the writeup @unitled did for his great Agnes deck . We played through the core set campaign as a 3 player campaign, together with Daisy. For a summary of the campaign and the rules of the various investigators, you're better heading over to the Agnes build.

The deck was initially built as a solo Skids deck, hoping to take him for a jaunt through the core campaign. To be honest Skids is probably the investigator I've found the hardest to 'shine'. Yes, he can do lots of stuff, but he's never had the wow factor when I've played him before. Instead of the solo campaign, we ended up acing the core campaign on three player mode. Turns out it really helps drawing lots of elder signs from the chaos bag!

Due to the deck originally being a solo deck, it was designed to cover more bases that the fighter style deck I played Skids the previous time. There are the obvious fighting assets, but a reasonable number of cards dedicated to to clue gathering.

Thoughts on some of the cards in the deck:

.45 Automatic While the mulligan rules in this game are quite forgiving considering there are only about 30 cards in the deck, I've been stung too many time before when not able to draw a weapon early on. Not being able to 2 damage in one attack is just devastating on your progress in this game. While the .45 is in almost all cases inferior to the Machete, I decided to up the weapon count to 4 to ensure at least one turned up early. Skids should have enough money for paying for two weapons in not too debilitating.

Flashlight Some players don't like this most basic of tools. It is certainly not as flashy as many other cards, but the -2 shroud is usually enough to ensure you can hoover up some clues at some of the mid-shroud locations. And there is no better feeling than having an empty flashlight to discard to the inevitably failed Crypt Chill check! No, you can't have Leo!

Leo De Luca All players want more actions, but Leo is the star of this deck allowing Skids to run around covering those urgent issues that need dealing with anywhere on the map. The potential for 5 (or even 7!) actions just gives you so much flexibility there is suddenly a lot less urgency if some awkward cultist turns up.

Backstab This is one of my favourite cards, especially considering Skids have a base agility that is higher than his combat skill. The option to deal 3 damage to an enemy (or even 4 to a monster if you have Lita) in one action is incredibly strong, so this double up your options if you don't have a machete and Vicious Blow at hand.

Unexpected Courage is a card I usually put in my deck but I'm never quite sure of. It incredibly versatile, but the ability to draw a new cards on a successful check is so powerful. Next time I'd probably swap it for two copies of guts, as his willpower is very weak and can get crushed by some of the treachery cards.

Of the higher level cards, Leo De Luca and Hot Streak are both just straight upgrades from the starting cards. Sure Gamble is one of my favourite cards in the game, giving you the chance to turn a disaster into gain. It is not as powerful as Wendy's ability or the Grotesque Statue as it cannot deal with any of the special chaos tokens. Tentacles is still tentacles.

Enough words for now. Waiter! Another tentacles on the rocks please.
