Here's my Akachi that I'm playing for our Carcosa campaign. I'm not familiar with formatting on this site and this is my first public deck so you'll just get paragraph blocks. Sorry about that.
Akachi's build restrictions make her a bit weaker than most other Mystic users right now, as there are non no-mystic cards that use charges, so this own't be the best deck in the world but I try to take care of the best assets she has.
I'm playing in a 4 player multiplayer game so I've built her to be able to do a little of everything. Shrivelling lets me become dps, Drawn to the Flame and Rite of Seeking lets me get clues. Scryingg lets me keep party members alive by manipulating the encounter deck (and my own), while Alchemical Transmutation is my main source of cash. (might want to swap it for something else on higher difficulties). Clarity of Mind is more of an afterthought to help keep party members alive.
If I'm lucky to get Spirit-Speaker that greatly adds to her sustainability to recycle needed sells. The hardest thing for Akachi is her limited actions. Astral Travel is greatly useful as her only efficient movement card. Obviously use it carefully but you can use it to dump a cheap Arcane Initiate who has doom on him at an dangerous moment.
As for Mulligan. If you can get Spirit-Speaker would be amazing to get early. Other than that I try to get at least 2 functional spells for Akachi (Alchm, Shriv, Scry, Seek).
As for Upgrade path with XP. I'm definitely looking at Grotesque Statue, followed by upgraded spells. I haven't thought too ahead though.
Enjoy!
