Based off of Myriad's Sound and Fury Deck and MOTUX's harvester of sorrow deck. See those write up's for excellent details. I tried my best to combine the best aspects of the two. I'm still a little unsure about the balance between helping my cluever versus just going all combat but thought what I've included might be provide the optimum balance. As in those previously mentioned decks you will be a pure body guard for your cluever by doing as much untested damage as possible with Guard Dog Heroic Rescue, Lantern and providing tanking with "Let me handle this!". Of course use the Knife/Gravedigger's Shovel as needed and recur them when possible. You can occasionally help in the clue getting department with "Look what I found!" as well as Evidence!. Possible upgrade paths include getting Scrapper, Vicious Blow, Aquinnah. Charisma might also be a good choice to combo guard dog with aquinnah for maximum damage mitigation.

Just realized there is no Emergency Cache in this deck to help with resources. Could possibly cut one gravedigger's shovel and lantern to fit that in. Thoughts?

I've been going without, or with only one, Emergency Cache recently. At least for early Carcossa cycle it hasn't seemed to be a major problem. I do like at least one Fine Clothes for all those Parley tests. Have you considered?

That's good to hear. I haven't quite tried the Path to Carcosa scenarios yet but it seems like including Fine clothes is a meta call and I could see switching out a leather coat for it sure.

Fine Clothes are very selectively useful in Zealot and Dunwich but they really come alive in Carcossa! Have fun.

Are you going to recycle Knife to get +1 damage? Did you consider Machete ?

I think Knife is the way to go. I’ve tried both and while Machete is the superior weapon for pretty much everyone else, with William Yorick, Knife is cheap, doesn’t become ineffective if you’ve got two Enemies engaged, and gives +2 attack vs +1

You could theoretically switch out the shovel for machetes but as pointed out by whaggardjr the knife may be a better bet for Yorick. While the shovels do not provide that all needed +1 damage I see it more as a way to soften up an enemy as well as a way to get clues from high shroud locations. Remember between guard dog/lantern/heroic rescue you have many ways to do untested damage. As explained in Myriad's sound and fury you sometimes almost WANT to take attacks of opportunity to a) proc guard dog and b) save an action by not needing to attack. Since you can recycle leather coats/cherished keepsakes you should theoretically stay ahead of the damage game and you can always bring back out guard dog. I haven't had a chance to test this deck yet out myself so I'm curious as to how it plays out in practice.

Thanks for the shout out! I love the include of Look What I Found. I will have to see if I can slot a few into my builds as I have a few flex slots.

Keep digging!
