Standalone (19 XP) deck for playing the Blob who ate Everything at PAX Unplugged 2019.
Since I'm the main deckbuilder in my group, this deck was piloted by someone else. Some notable plays from the scenario (from what I can remember):
- Spent her 5 initial resources to play Pnakotic Manuscripts which I believe was used at least 5 times over the course of the scenario to cancel chaos token draws (recharged with Astounding Revelation and Enraptured)
- Played the Research Librarian on 2nd or 3rd turn to get Shocking Discovery out of the way. The Librarian was later sacrificed to the blob.
- Ward of Protection and Deny Existence were critical to avoid certain nasty Treacheries or botched skill tests. I think Mandy finished the scenario at nearly full health and sanity (she probably had 1-2 horror from using Ward of Protection but that was it).
- After getting 3x Segment of Onyx, the Pendant of the Queen was used to teleport around the map which was incredibly helpful during the scenario
Retrospective:
- Otherworldly Compass was kind of a dud. I was trying to add more Relics so that Dr. Elli Horowitz wouldn't come up blank, but there's probably a better Relic to include over the Compass.
- Still had some major resource problems. Perhaps Emergency Cache still makes sense in here? I think part of the problem may be that all of the Astounding Revelation were used for secrets, not resources.
- It probably would have been smarter to include some Manual Dexterity or Inquiring Mind so that Mandy has a way to evade an early-game enemy.
