Father Mateo - Relic Hunter

I usually add two Seal of the Elder Sign in place of Guts, and add Alter Fate in place of Unexpected Courage. They are spells so it makes Arcane Initiate even better.

Using using Arcane Research, upgrade Shrivelling, Storm of Spirits, Ward of Protection and Deny Existence. Also maybe Sixth Sense and/or Wither.

Upgrading Arcane Initiate might be a good idea depending on whether you think the extra doom is hurting you or not. It doesn't benefit from Arcane Research so I do it sparingly.

The Codex of Ages is excellent in solo mode, but not so much in multiplayer.

Ethereal Form is experimental, normally I would go with a second Unexpected Courage and a thematic Stargazing, which uses up the final experience point Father Mateo begins with.
