There are a lot amazing "Ashcan" decks on Arkhamdb but I think this one is interesting enough to publish it.

Main idea was the synergy between Investments and Dark Horse. It is cool mechanically but also quite amusing theme-wise. Imagine a guy who wanders around pretending to be a hobo while his accounts are full of cash!

First of all you should mulligan hard for Investments. It is really important to play this card as early as possible. The cool thing is that having resources on Investments does not take away your Dark Horse bonuses. So you can save money for the high cost assets and still have the boosts and do all the well known shenaningans like keeping one resource while having Lucky in hand (to bo able to take high risk test and getting +3 in case of emergency) or boosting Fire Axe attacks to empty your resource pool and get +1 dmg.

The profits from your investments should be well spent on the high cost allies (Peter Sylvestre, Aquinnah - both one of the best allies in the game) assets (Grisly Totem) and events (True Survivor). The important thing is to keep the right timing and pull the resources off Investments when you really know what you want to do with them and have time to do it. You don't want to hoard resources - that both takes away your Dark Horse boosts and makes your hobo disguise look unconvincing!

Especially True Survivor is one of the most important cards in this deck. As you may have noticed besides Resourceful (which also is a well known combo) it has a lot of targets as all of the skill cards in this deck have the Innate trait. Eureka! and Inspiring Presence are great cards but when used with Grisly Totem are really amazing and give you a lot of flexibility. Eureka boosts your card draw and lets you find the cards you need and Inspiring Presence lets you get more uses out of Duke and heal him or heal Aquinnah to be even safer from damage dealing enemies (while having Peter AND Aquinnah in play terror shouldn't ever be a problem...).

Last but not least we have Winging It and A Glimmer of Hope (especially the latter really shining in here - as long as you get all three in your discard). You should use them freely to feed Duke (using Peters special ability) or boost resource growth on Investments. The second option might seem underwhelming at first but sometimes you just don't need to investigate or attack twice and you don't want the potential of Peters ability to go to waste so you can essentially turn cards into resources and putting those high cost cards in play faster might be crucial. Winging it and Glimmers are perfect for this but you can also use doubles of the assets you already have in play. And with the Totem the Glimmers can act like Unexpected Courage which gives you a lot of flexibility.

Have fun and let me know if you have any thoughts!
