This is the final deck of my run through the Forgotten Age with solo Rita on standard.

I must say, I had reservations about playing Rita solo, but the eventual result proved her worth a campaign run.

STRATEGY

The main focus is of course on investigation with Rita's 2. At the start of campaign I have a Flashlight, a fail package which includes "Look what I found!" and Live and Learn, and the skills to get the clues. Later on in the campaign, when I get Drawing Thin and Plucky I mainly shift the focus to gaining obscene amount of money using Drawing Thin + Track Shoes resource engine and pumping them into Plucky. This one should be fairly safe thanks to other assets that can soak horror. I chose Alejandro's route in the campaign and he helped me too with +1 on Ancient locations and draw.

Enemy managemnt is fairly simple. Evade big bad monsters and kille the rest. Get Ornate Bow bow later in the campaign to kill off pesky cultists and snake people. This card is fantastic with Rita, especially when Peter Sylvestre and Track Shoes are also out in play area.

RESULTS

Prologue

I chose 1 Provision, 1 Torches, 1 Map, 1 Binoculars and 1 Pendant. Decided that I will not get poisoned and do not need Medicine)).

Untamed Wilds

This was a tough start as I got bogged down by enemies and did not see my investigation tools when I needed them. Still managed to kill Ichtaka but then suffered defeat and got 1 mental trauma, the other one (physical) came in the interlude. No resolution, +3 XP in the scenario, +2 XP in the interlude.

Doom of Eztli

This was a good display of Rita's evasion power, I saw Peter Sylvestre and Track Shoes eraly, managed to fail strategically tests on high shroud locations, just to repeat them with Live and Learn and get clues. Evaded the Harbinger and cleared off the location with the Relic of Ages using "Look what I found!". The escape was super close, but the enemies did not have a chance to stop Rita running with track shoes. Escaped on the final turn. R1, 4 XP.

Threads of Fate

A good run around the city with Track Shoes. Managed to complete 2 act decks (saving Alejandro and Relic) and came close to completeing act deck 3. Resigned with R1 and 7XP. Got myself 2x Provisions, 1 Medicine, 2x Gasoline, 1 Pocketknife.

Boundary Beyond

Slow start in this one, but eventually cleared 2 Ancient locations as the enemies were spread through the scenario and were managed with Ornate Bow. Killed the the scenario-specific snake and killed Padma with 1 shot as she appeared. R1 with 5 XP.

Heart of the Elders Parts 1 & 2

It took me 2 attempts to get all the pillars for Part 1. In part 2 there was a tense moment, when I was nearly isolated by No Turning Back treachery and had to fight with Yig's curse, but all turned out well. R1 and 6 XP.

City of Archives

I feared this scenario a bit, but it turned out super successful. I managed to get the right cards when I needed them and had luck with the placemnet of encounter cards and enemies. Completed 5/6 tasks and safely travelled back to my body. R1, +6 XP.

Depths of Yoth

This scenario on the contrary was the hardest in the campaign. The locations were not favorably placed and I had to start on Crumbling Precipice a lot(!). She could waylay and kill some tough enemies for XP though. Then on depth 3 came Yig and his friends and started a mad chase fro Rita, which she managed to survive and get one level down before she was defeated by snakes. Super close run. R1 and 9 XP.

Shattered Aeons

The final scenario started with 2 enemies on turn 2, luckily I had Ornate bow from turn 1. They slowed my board development down but Rita could build the resource and soak engine. Midgame there was also a moment when Rita got a couple of enemies at once and had to run around a lot. As she advanced to Pocket of Time , Rita drew not so intimidating Shattered locations. But at the same time she had to deal with enemy Ichtaka. Managed to kill her off using Ornate Bow and Will to Survive. Though Rita after taking hits from Ichtaka was on the verge of defeat (8/9 damage), Yig's curse was cancelled by A Test of Will! The final turn I got back Will to Survive and scooped 2 locations to get R1 and 7 XP.

FINAL THOUGHTS

In general I am satisfied how the deck performed. I even managed to use Belly of the Beast a couple of times. This deck was built with a collection up to Wages of Sin. If I had a complete collection, I would include Breaking and Entering, this should be a very good card for solo Rita.
