This is my Diana Stanley deck for a blind run of Circle Undone. She'll be paired up with Joe, and she's the most event- filled deck I've made so far. It's been a lot of fun trying out this deck and just being able to cancel anything that comes my way.

For upgrades, I'm eyeing Police Badge, Brother Xavier, Four of Cups, and Blood Pact for the sweet boosts, but first I need to find room for more spells to use all that Will.

I'm looking to do a good amount of fighting so Shards of the Void is definitely on the table, as is Timeworn Brand.

In terms of events, I want to upgrade Ward of Protection as soon as I can, and maybe snag Counterspell.

I'm feeling a little asset-light and resource-poor at the moment, though the resources weren't a huge issue when I tried out Midnight Masks. I'm afraid I'll need a bit more combat than I have currently though, so I may be tweaking to make up for that.

There's some cards I left out after quite some consideration:

  • I'm probably not going to take Arcane Research because I don't think I'll be upgrading so many Spells that the trauma will feel worth it.
  • I'm not bringing any Doom cards because I'm not about that life.
  • I wanted to include a copy of Handcuffs because it seems like a cool idea, but I knew I would never actually use it.
  • Olive McBride didn't make the cut because I don't feel like there's a ton of benefit to her ability, even though I've read some interesting things and Diana can eat her when Olive's sanity gets low.
  • Defiance felt a little too niche.
  • I'm going back and forth on Mists of R'lyeh - if nothing else, it's another way to deal with enemies, although more temporary.
  • Alchemical Transmutation is also tempting to make up for some more expensive cards, but I know I'll have a hard time justifying using an action to set it up.

I'm used to playing it more hack-and-slash or sniffing for clues, and almost always asset-heavy, so this something very new for me. I'm sure I'll make a few more changes before I jump in, but I'm looking forward to seeing how things work out!
