Why ?

Return to Carcosa player cards made me want to revisit a Yorick thematic deck with Lantern and Gravedigger's Shovel while also giving a shot at some Circle Undone cards I hadn't the chance to play with, namely Grisly Totem and Tennessee Sour Mash. It is clearly not the best solo Yorik deck you can find out, its purpose is to pull off some great stories.

How to play ?

Mulligan hard for the Meat Cleaver which is the only reliable 2-damage weapon (I told you the deck was not super efficient !). A shovel is also nice.

This is clearly a testless clues deck : Gravedigger's Shovel, Evidence! and Scene of the Crime combined with On the Hunt. On low shroud location you can try regular investigation with the lantern and skill icons committing (the deck has a lot of icons).

Try to have a "healthy" discard pile with lots of assets with different costs so you always have something to play when Yorick's triggers : this is mostly done by committing the cards to tests.

Upgrades

This is the easy part, just upgrade what's in there : Gravedigger's Shovel, Lantern, Grisly Totem, Tennessee Sour Mash.

Priority depends on the campaign you're playing. Upgrading the Shovel is nice if there are lots of 2-clues locations while you'll upgrade the Mash for heavy willpower tests campaigns.

I think that Lantern is a nice first upgrade. The level 0 is not very efficient in Yorick because there's no real incentive to discard a 2-cost card vs. fighting at 4 (6 with the shovel). With the level 2, automatic 1 damage for finishing off an enemy and bounce the lantern back for only 1 is nice and 2 damage if you need is much better !

Police Badge and Eucatastrophe are always good choices for Yorick.

Adjustments

You may want to change some cards depending on your campaign. For Carcosa, I would include Fine Clothes replacing either the Grisly Totem or the Tennessee Sour Mash and go straight for their respective upgrades after The Last King.
