Goal
This deck was built for a group of 3 characters (agnes, roland and daisy), where agnes operates alone. This means she has to pick up clues at easy/medium shroud locations, while dealing with any threat herself.
Basic Strategy
Pick low shroud locations and use cards to boost investigate: Arcane Studies, "Look what I found!" and Perception.
Combos
Use Forbidden Knowledge to trigger her ability, to finish off enemies.
Assign any horror to either Holy Rosary or the Arcane Initiate, if you don't need to use her ability. If you want to trigger her ability and take more than 1 horror, assign any horror above 1 to the item or initiate. This way you can use her ability as often as possible.
Commit items to skill tests and recover them with Scavenging, when you investigate. You can even commit a Rabbit's Foot to an investigate check and recover it directly, when successful.
Try to recover Holy Rosarys to minimize horror, when not using Agnes ability.
Starting Hand
Priorities in this order: Shrivelling (to kill monsters), Arcane Studies (boost investigate), Holy Rosary (to avoid horror from skill tests; you need sanity for her ability)
Upgrade
- 2x Lucky!, this helps drawing through your deck
- 2x Blinding Light, helps with killing and can trigger agnes ability
- Replace 2x Holy Rosary, with Elder Sign Amulet. Grants more "spare sanity" for tests
- Replace 2x Fearless with Grotesque Statue You shouldn't need fearless anymore, with 2 Elder amulets
