This deck is based on the following ideas:

-Finding clues: Father Mateo's Intellect is not so bad, especially if it's enhanced by St. Hubert's Key and Alyssa Graham. Use Desperate Search to make sure Enraptured gives one more use to one of the spell assets (Shrivelling if needed, otherwise Seal of the Seventh Sign.

-Fighting enemies: Fight enemies with Shrivelling and Spectral Razor. Buying an upgraded version of Shrivelling is very important.

-Seal the worst tokens: The Seal of the Seventh Sign and the The Chthonian Stone will help the whole party, and don't forget you can commit desperate skill cards to other investigators' tests as long as you have 3 mental sanity or less and you are in their location.

-making sure some tests will definitely pass: Reduce Father Mateo's mental health by one with Ward of Protection or Forbidden Knowledge in order to play the desperate skill cards. Then try to heal it before becoming raving mad with Thermos or Fearless. Notice that is the Seal of the Seventh Sign is in play, you are not going to waste any desperate card on an autofail, which always hurts like hell.

-resource management: The key assets are quite expensive, so there are also many resource cards; Emergency Cache, Emergency Cache and Uncage the Soul.

-weakness management: If Alyssa Graham is in play, you can check if the next card in your deck is Serpents of Yig. Keep The Codex of Ages in you hand until you know Serpents of Yig will appear and play it just before they do. That way, the Elder Sign will be sealed on The Codex of Ages and not on Serpents of Yig.
