this deck is an evolved version of dark horse preston with various mechanics involved

it has been tested in STANDARD and HARD mode and I think it can also do the job in EXPERT mode due to its testless caracteristics

the dark horse side

for those who don’t know the trick, ressources on your Family Inheritance are not in tour ressource pool so you still have them While playing and getting the benefits of dark horse the dark horse side uses : Dark Horseof course ; personally I sacrifice mithos phase and take the ressource every turn to get advantage of the other sides of the deck Fire Axethe main fighting solution Mariner's Compass to investigate and get 2 clues on « middle » occult value locations

the failure side

the point here is to use failure at your advantage or negate failure ; cards here are pretty well known in a survivor’s mechanic "Look what I found!"gives you security while using Mariner's Compass if you keep 2 ressources you can even on a high occult value keep 3 ressources and couple it with Lucky! Rabbit's Footallows you to draw and Third Time's a Charmgives you security for your important tests

the testless side

my favorite part use your Family Inheritancenos ressources to get 2 clues from high occult value sur locations with Intel Report

then use Scrounge for Suppliesto get Intel Reportback

you can then even use Resourcefulto get Scrounge for Suppliesback

the mithos negation side

as i have played preston in duo with roland banks, "You handle this one!"allowed Roland to get ennemies when needed

The « I Want high stats » side

here comes the best part Dark Horsegives you +1 to each stat Delilah O'Rourkeand Lola Santiagocombined give you +1 to each stat Geasgive you +1 to each stat while you wont commit cards to tests during your turn ( Resourcefulcan still be used during mithos phase or your fellow investigator in multiplayer

this combination pushes you to 4 to each stat, while giving you lots of health and mental sanity

and with 2 Charisma you can still play Leo De Lucato get extra actions
