Use Will to Survive for chaos-less tests and recur it infinitely with 2xResourceful and True Survivor. Reduce the cost of this pricey combo with On Your Own.
Use your traps to evade or wound enemies, then bring them back once they go away. Or just play them some loud music until they go away.
With only 2 , you need some help to gather some clues even with Will to Survive, which is why Intrepid is in the deck. It is also an innate skill which can be brought back with True Survivor. Gravedigger's Shovel and Scene of the Crime also help get some clues from tough locations.
I think In the Thick of It is easy to take because your guitar lets you heal horror as soon as you draw an enemy. We need the XP for our combo since Will to Survive and True Survivor cost 3, and the permanent On Your Own costs 6.
