Introduction: Are you tired of your teammates scattered everywhere on the map asking for your help? Or do you find it exhausting to search for clues all over the map? Try this deck now and enjoy your investigation while staying in one place for the whole game.

Core: Choose one location which should 1) have a shroud value that allows you to investigate with 0 difficulty after playing Breach the Door and Map the Area, 2) be close to the center of the whole map and have as many connections as possible, and 3) no location abilities that would interfere with our plan. This place is now your home.

Home Sweet Home: Hiding Spot will make every unfriendly guests aloof, just retrieve it by Pete's ability after it's discarded and they will be aloof forever. But remember all these enemies will engage you again when Hiding Spot is discarded, so we need the second step. Makeshift Trap with Net upgrade will allow you to move out without being attacked by opportunity, and this will disengage every enemy and leave them at your home. Use your guitar and Lure to invide other enemies to your home, and it will be a life sentence for them.

Remote Job after Covid-19: Use Breach the Door and Map the Area to reduce the difficulty of investigation to 0, and then play Shed a Light while investigating to take clues in other locations remotely. Use Shrine of the Moirai to retrieve Shed a Light, and take the shrine back to your hand with Survival Technique when there is no offerings. In addition to the clue job, you can also protect your teammates by First Watch and "Let me handle this".

Others: Put one Shortcut(2) in your home and another one in adjacent location, this will help you reduce commuting effort (when you move out and in to disengage enemies). Use Old Hunting Rifle to deal with the elites because that's what we Americans do when someone breaks into our home. Use Flesh Ward to prevent damage from elites or hunters when they move in. Remember you have only a total of 9 combined health/horror.

Upgrade: 1) Core: net upgrade for Makeshift Trap 2) Core: replace both Kicking the Hornet's Nest with Shed a Light 3) Core: replace both Resourceful with Shrine of the Moirai 4) Saving Actions: upgrade both Shortcut, and simple upgrade for Makeshift Trap 5) Optimization: replace one Map the Area with another Survival Technique and buy the exceptional On Your Own to reduce the cost of Shed a Light

Upgrade for Makeshift Trap: net, simple, poisonous or explosive (optional, against elites), improved timer (optional, after explosive)

almost 0 soak, testing breach the door 0 on 3 (no way you are oversucceding by more than 1) and then sledgehammer for 2 actions just to test 5 on whetever the enemy is, yeah this isnt gonna work on anything else than easy also side note your skill Able Bodied will always have only 2 or less icons because guitar is an item you start with :)

It looks that someone completely missed the point of this deck. Almost all skill cards serve for breach the door, after all you don't need to fight with normal enemies at all. Don't rely on your weapons unless you're desperate against elites. Also Able Bodied provides 3 icons if you realise that you don't need to put on your weapons that early.

Is it legal to take guitar but use Wracked by Nightmares? I thought the swap was all or nothing

@cnnr.hys Yeah. Either just replacements or both original and alts. Personally, I'd run both sets in here. Duke is amazing even if he doesn't start on board and doesn't even conflict with On Your Own.

I like what this deck is trying to do, my favorite Survival Technique deck yet. That said, here's some recommendations:
