Hello everybody, the following deck is my take on scion of yog-sothoth'deck, essentially the idea is to be able to cycle through your deck and your discard pile to always have a solution at hand for you and your allies, you will eventually draw your deck once, maybe twice!

Dr. Elli Horowitz is not really here, it will be Mr Rook from the wages of sin, he's important because he helps you find your key assets (Analytical Mind, all your cyclable assets!) and deal with The King in Yellow at an appropriate time (when you have cards and a free hand slot!).

With Scavenging you will be able to bring back Ancient Stone and Pnakotic Manuscript by juggling with Magnifying Glass.

I chose the horror healing version of Ancient Stone because we play at 3 or 4 and I like the idea of being able to take care of my whole band, but you can freely choose the damage dealing version or if you don't mind even use Shrewd Analysis for more XP efficiency!

Pnakotic Manuscript has 3 functions: it's a fantastic while expensive support asset, it can let you choose exactly how many cards you draw with Feed the Mind and allows you to deal more easily with The King in Yellow Doctor Milan will help you repay Pnakotic Manuscript for more support for your team. Rabbit Foot and Leather coat are here to be fed to Cornered or commited to your allies tests. I use Shortcut but I could see Preposterous Sketches in its place for more card draw if that's necessary.

The skill cards are quite obvious, I like the idea of asking the guardian when there's no enemy to take an investigate action in a high-shrouded location just to feed him resources and cards!

So now, I just have to wait for the Wages of Sin! ;)

Aw, I'm flattered! This is why I love this game so much: Two people can take the exact same core idea (Minh + Cornered + Feed the Mind) and run in such completely different directions!

The one card I find questionable is Resourceful. Out of all the cards in your deck, eight of them are assets that you can get back via Scavenging. That means you're mainly just targeting Take Heart. A worthwhile target, to be sure, but you really have to have everything happen in the right order to make that combo work. You'd need some more red skills or events to make it better than Live and Learn, True Understanding, or Last Chance.

One final question: Obviously, if you take this Minh into the Forgotten Age, you're going to give her the Relic of Ages. It's an Item with three icons; she's going to commit it like the world's most overpowered skill card. Naturally, this makes Rabbit's Foot less useful, since you've already got a better target for Scavenging. So, what do you replace it with? Or do you prefer keeping the extra Items, just for safety?

That's my thought too! And Minh is a really good character for building different strategies. I agree with you on resourceful! I'm going to change it for deduction or unexpected courage. I think you can keep them both! More targets for scavenging are always welcome!

An argument could be made for keeping Resourceful since it provides either two fight, two intellect, or two agility icons when committed to a skill test.

@FractalMind: Well, I know but scion of yog sothoth is right I don't have enough targets for resourceful, I'd better use Perception or Guts or Unexpected Courage! If you have any idea, feel free to comment, I'm waiting for advice!

@mogwen It's pretty likely that by the time Wages of Sin is out you will want to play a different deck because more cards will have been released by then and you will probably want to include them, so I don't think building a deck with cards that haven't come out yet is a good idea...

Why no Pathfinding? Isn't it one of the better Seeker cards?

@matt88Because theorycrafting is part of the fun, this deck helps me find where I want to go in terms of deckbuilding. Some cards will change but the core idea is here.
