Built for a buddy.

I'm finding that Lola decks are hard to balance. Synergies don't come easy, when cards constantly toggle off depending on your class. But I think this deck has potential.

Designed for multiplayer, the deck has no combat (yet), except shriveling and sneak attacks. It's built around manipulating encounter and player decks, manipulating doom, being efficient at finding clues and decent at evasion. the deck also has plenty of wild icons which keeps it relatively flexible.

Key cards:

  • Alyssa Graham: +1 lore plus the power to bury bad encounters or your crippling weakness cards. Also a good sink for horror.
  • Holy Rosary: +1 willpower, plus another place to put horror.
  • Ward of Protection: Cancel revelation effects, put the horror on your assets.
  • Magnifying Glass: and additional source of +1 lore for investigations.
  • No Stone Unturned: Useful for finding key cards.
  • Moonlight Ritual: Clear doom tokens from Alyssa Graham, (and eventually Blood Pact).
  • Shrivelling: Her most reliable source for dealing damage ... for now. Otherwise she can get by with fists. She shouldn't be fighting much anyway.
  • Deduction: Faster clue gathering.

This deck is built with getting Blood Pact and level 2 Switchblade in mind. Until those are obtained, she's all about magic, clues and evasion. Once she gets those, she has combat options too.

Things to watch out for:

  • Resources might be tight, so make the most of Improvisation for those 3 and 4 cost cards.
  • The most important assets are mystic, so be wary of drawing Crisis of Identity when your role is mystic. I think Lola is adaptable enough to roll with it, so that she's never rendered useless.
  • Until she gets combat options, try to save Unexpected Courage for willpower checks. It's in the deck instead of Guts to make it more flexible when combat gets introduced.
