This is a 0 XP deck which is primed for growth into a versatile power deck based on Mind's Eye and Cornered. These will replace the #Read the Signs and/ or Spectral Razor. Four of Cups is another card to help prime your for use.
Personally, I'm intending to expand the deck using Versatile, add in Quick Thinking, and add a 2nd Read the Signs, and any other Neutral Skills to maintain balance.
Forbidden Knowledge is used to power up the 4x Skill cards. Also comes in handy when it's time to kill David Renfield. #Holy Rosary will soak some Horror after you get it drilled down to 3.
Hopefully you'll have the needed Impromptu card in your discard pile, but if it's in your hand use Patrice's Violin or Cornered to get it out of your hand if it happens to be there.
Upgrades: Ward of Protection Rise to the Occasion Fearless Aquinnah or Granny Orne
If your upgrades start adding Items, don't forget to remove Able Bodied.
Alternate starting Cards to consider: Holy Rosary cheaper than St. Hubert's Key, may make it a longer trek to activate the 'Desperate Skills'. Or swap in the rosary and exchange the desperate neutral skills for the regular ones.
I haven't tested Open Gate, but it seems like it should be able to save actions "wasted" on movement, and if the scenario is hunter heavy, it's useful for longer distance escapes; else, flex back in some Neutral Skills.
