Deck for Dunwich Legacy two-player with Roland Banks on standard.

The main division of Labour in this two player run through the Dunwich campaign is to have Rex Murphy gather as many clues as possible and Roland Banks to assist by killing monsters and help collect the occasional clue. Not to flashy, granted, but last time my friend and I ran through The Dunwich Legacy we did not do well with Agnes and Jenny so we wanted to specialize a bit more this time around.

This is a fairly standard Rex-build with focus on getting Dr. Milan and Magnifying Glass out early. Hard mulligan for the doctor and if that fails the copies of No Stone Unturned are there to help dig for it.

Fire Axe, No Stone Unturned and Logical Reasoning and are mainly included to support Banks' sanity, weapon search and in combat. Mind over Matter and "I've got a plan" are Rex' panic buttons if more enemies show up than his federal friend can handle.

There are very few skill cards included because Rex can probably handle investigation without support, Roland will handle the enemies in the encounter deck, so the wild icons on Unexpected Courage and Inquiring Mind will mostly be used to counter the most critical test from treacheries in the encounter deck.

The copies of Delve too Deep are needed to fuel some core upgrades for both Roland and Rex. Rex will have a relatively light board presence in the first couple of scenarios but it will become a bit heavier once the experience start accumulating.

First upgrade for Rex is Higher Education. After that a second tier of upgrades consist of In the know which replaces Seeking Answers and Shortcut which replaces Preposterous Sketches. Banks will keep the lvl 0-version of Shortcut. Also in the second tier are upgraded versions of Magnifying Glass and two copies of the Disc Itzamna which replaces the copies of Burglary and Anatomical Diagrams.

A third tier of upgrades are Deduction and the new Arcane Insight which replaces Delve too Deep.

This is my first ever write up of a deck, so feel free to comment on both the deck construction and for clarity.

I'm interested to know whether you gain enough ressources after replacing Burglary with Disc of Itzamna. The cost curve of the upgraded deck is much higher and both Higher Education and Fire Axe can be a drain. Does Dr. Milan Christopher's ability supply you with enough ressources to play the upgraded cards?

Actually, right before we started the campaign, I decided to include two Emergency Caches instead of Working a Hunch to ensure I'd have enough resources to fuel Higher Education. A few scenarios into the campaign I found that I didn't use Burglary that much because Dr. Milan Christopher and the Emergency Cashes along with 2xStand together that Banks upgraded to fairly early was enough.

The MVP cards in our playthrough of the Dunwich Campaign were Dr. Milan and Higher Education (of course) but also 'In the Know' and the upgraded Shortcut.

I was, however, a bit underwhelmed by Mind over Matter and Preposterous Sketches, both of which very few opportunities to play.
