Rita Young, four scenarios into A Circle Undone (two player, standard with Carolyn Fern).

Strengths: Handles monsters like a breeze. Evades them, shoots them, hits them with a Baseball Bat if she gets really desperate. Yet to find a monster that gives her a moment's pause. The Ornate Bow can be clunky, but 3 damage is a sweet spot for most enemies encountered so far and track shoes plus her free evade and move generates space to reload without endangering yourself.

Opens up the game really quickly with track shoes; no scrabbling around in the dark in high shroud locations, she opens up the easy pickings very quickly and lets the team plan actions strategically.

Weaknesses: Investigating sucks. 2x Lucky! and 2x "Look what I found!" aren't enough with 2 knowledge. I spent far too much time early in scenarios wandering around aimlessly and it was my appealing investigating that led to Rita going insane in one scenario. Plucky hasn't really shown yet, but should help.

Economy. Finding myself flooded with money in the first two scenarios, so added Pluckyand Will to Survive; but if you don't see Emergency Cache or Take Heart you can struggle to fund them.

Mulligans

Pretty straightforward. Keep Peter Sylvestre or Track Shoes (you can keep both if you have Emergency Cache; otherwise dig for Ornate Bow.

Lessons learned

Peter Sylvestre and Track Shoes are more than enough agility boosts to breeze past almost everything you'll meet. There's no need for Trench Coat or Manual Dexterity.

Even in two player with a clue gathering partner, there's not enough clue finding. Wages of Sin came out too late to add Belly of the Beast but that would be an auto-include if I was building the deck again. Relying on two-handed weapons makes Flashlight unappealing. If I was starting again I would take out Waylay (only used for its icons) and Stunning Blow (redundant as soon as you get the bows) for Belly of the Beastand Winging It to give more clue finding power.

Can't believe I hadn't considered ornate bow for her earlier. Makes dealing with 3 and 4 health (w/ her evade special) enemies a cinch.
