I don't think I have published this before (apologies if I have)

This deck is based on Father Mateo Searches for Clues (and the truth) and tweaked a bit based on helpful comments (from e.g. @LivefromBenefitSt).

This was played through Path to Carcosa along "Ashcan" Pete and Zoey Samaras. (And Mark Harrigan for a couple of scenarios).

The main focus of Father Mateo in this group was clues, clues, clues. Although I wanted to alter the chaos bag and other shenanigans there wasn't enough cards and XP to make both work...

Some cards I really liked: Eucatastrophe - as it worked very nicely with the Father Mateo's ability Uncage the Soul - as some spells are expensive and as I got Paranoia as weakness (didn't know that when I built the deck though)

Cards that weren't as needed as I initially thought: Drawn to the Flame - as there was plenty of clue gathering anyway (but probably still worth having)

Upgrade path was focussed on: 1) Making full use of bonus from Arcane Research each time 2) Get clue gathering up, up and away...

So upgrade Sixth Sense as this is excellent with Olive McBride. Also upgrade Rite of Seeking. (Clear focus for first number of XPs). Then also as this deck was also intended as a multiplayer support upgrading Ward of Protection As Arcane Research has given some mental trauma considering upgrading Fearless was also beneficial

Although there was a competition between Holy Rosary and Hallowed Mirror towards the end of the campaign with upgraded cards Holy Rosary wasn't really needed.

No spoilers but Father Mateo was an absolute clue monster towards end of the campaign with fully upgraded Rite of Seeking and Sixth Sense

But word of warning - without a proper guarding around he would really struggle...
