Want a thematic Yorrick deck which steamrolls whoever mythos throws at you, while laughing maniacally in the face of death and letting your allies grab clues or whatever? Here it is!

First the theme:

Gravedigger's Shovel - for being a gravedigger, smashing enemies in the face and testless clues - Check!

Lantern - getting free clues on 1 shroud or burning enemies for a testless dmg - Check!

Old Keyring cheap way for grabbing clues on shroud 2 almost with almost 100% chance, or for decent chance at higher shroud levels - Check!

and Mysterious Raven cheap free clues and "boosting" our sanity

Now the Mechanics

As you probably know, Yorrick shines with recursion - if he defeats an enemy, he can dig some assests out of the discard pile. It only works if you have the ressources though, thats why cheap assets are good for him. "1" for the most cards of the upgraded version of this deck or even "0" for Cherished Keepsake is pretty cheap and latter makes William almost unkillable with sanity.

Which takes us to his main weapon of choice - Meat Cleaver. 3 recources for a lvl 0 weapon with +2 +1 Dmg without a need for ammunition and almost without a downside in Yorrciks case? Awesome!

After you reach 3 Sanity or lover you can unfold the full potential of the Cleaver and use Cherished Keepsake for tanking sanity damage and heal yourself back to 3 santiy AND bring the bear back after you defeat an enemy. Profit! Repeat indefinately. Win!

Other important mentions. Yorriks recursion is the reason for having onyl 1x version for many assets. After you drew them once, you don't need to draw them again, since you can bring them back from your graveyard. You can treat your discard pile as the extension of your hand cards. Thats why Short Supply is very good on him too.

Tetsuo Mori and Backpack in the upgraded versions makes sure you draw the items you need the most as fast as possible.

Tetsuo and also Guard Dog tank some dmg for you and latter even bites back.

(de facto throwable) Knife is a cheap way to deal with enemies till you draw a Meat Cleaver and is also a placeholder for Backpack which searches for your combo - Meat Cleaver and Cherished Keepsake in case you didn't draw them in the main hand even after mulligan (which you should do).

Track Shoes action compression. They make you a little bit more mobile, so you have enough action to move twice to your allies to help AND kill an enemy in the same turn. Also helps against some nasty mythos treacheries or for evading enemies in case you don't have any weapon for some reason or should not kill them (snakes in TFA etc).

"Look what I found!" makes you do smth useful for your team and get clues, if there are no enemies in sight

Fight or Flight steroids against high fight value enemies. Hit them again, again and again with the strength of madness

First Watch and/or On the Hunt for searching for those nasty enemies to kill and let your team handle the rest

Overpower makes sure you hit an enemy with a high fight value, especially if you didn't get your Meat Cleaver or the +2 bonus yet.

Resourceful even more recursion and a little stat boost. Always good!

Take Heart additional card draw to make sure you get your engine going and of course more reacourses to keep it going

Take the Initiative sometimes you want to pass those non-enemies treacheries or make sure you land a hit on an enemy, in that case you should take the initiative

Vicious Blow and Brute Force later make sure you defeat 3 and 5 hp enemies without spending too many actions

First upgrade should be Knife -> Backpack! It makes sure you have all the tols you need, especially your "combo" Gravedigger's Shovel and Lantern both lvl 2 cost only 1 recource, which is super good for the recursion and have a bonus effect on the "last use".
