Using Kerosene to restore horror for Field Agent and use her every turn, totally ignore the regulation on Directive. Kerosene itself can also be refilled with Cleaning Kit and upgraded Emergency Cache. Trusted made sure we do not waste any healing.

This deck is even stronger at clue gathering than fighting. On average you can get 10+ test-less clues per game, which is insane in low player games. While high player count means more monster to trigger your Kerosene, and you can also help you teammate with your events. We don't have a lot damage/ bonus, but Alice Luxley can help it out.

This deck has a lot of high cost card, so we take Trible resource cards: Crack the Case, Emergency Cache and Motivational Speech. Don't worry about being excessive as they can also be used to help your friends. We also have good extra card draws from Directive. Finally, with a net health/sanity of 17 and horror heal, we can fail on all treacheries without dying.

I applaud you for finding a functional home for Kerosene. I've always liked the theme. And it's always tempting...but for me ultimately disappointing...to play Roland with traditional combat AND clue approaches. I've had success with clue event builds but this is a fun wrinkle. Thanks for posting it!

Nice deck, I've thought about this combo myself but what puts me off is that Kerosene requires a full action and you must kill an enemy at your location before that point. I suppose as you say on high player counts this is less of an issue, but I think on lower player counts (I usually play 2) this becomes problematic - especially if Roland is the guy doing the killing.

My suggestion would be to use normal Roland back and take Protecting the Anirniq as you level up with some Calling in Favors too (as it doubles as healing). The Star • XVII I'd say is pretty much mandatory as well to give your Agents more sanity.

Relatedly what I'd want to run myself is Bandages with Cleaning Kit and either Beat Cop •• or Guard Dog ••. However, Tommy's weakness is huge anti-synergy (because at some point you'll use them as soak), it feels a bit pointless on Yorick and I want different level 0s on Zoey - so it doesn't really have a home yet for me. Maybe Daniela with level 0 Dogs, IDK.

There are some cool weapons you could consider later on. For more fighting approach you could go even for Old Shotgun and get rid of the flashlight as it works well with Cleaning Kit and Emergency Cache, for more economy and fighting .45 Thompson. But for standard clue-focused deck I think upgrading .45 Automatic is just fine. Although I would change one Steadfast for Prepared for the Worst anyway for nice Stick to the Plan set up later.
