Wendy is a strong investigator. Great stats except for strength, which she will rarely use.

ASSETS

Leo De Luca is the ally of choice. It allows you to draw more cards, which Wendy needs. Pickpocketing is obvious and having two in play makes Wendy a monster. Burglary for the early and repeatable money. Hard Knocks allows you to use strength on that rare occasion when you only need 1 damage to defeat an enemy (i.e. rats, acolytes). I don't think Dig Deep adds value to her as 4 Will plus some events committed should do the trick. No need for Baseball Bat, you should not use strength for combat checks and the bat is brittle, which means you need Scavenging as well.

EVENTS

All events that is available in the pool. "Look what I found!" lets her investigate efficiently. No need for flashlights due to this. Backstab is your main dps. Sneak Attack for low level ghouls. Cunning Distraction combos with Pickpocketing, and later on Close Call. Emergency caches provides sustained resources and is recurred via Wendy's Amulet. Lucky! together with your ability ensures every check on standard difficulty, and can also be recurred!!

SKILLS

Covering all the stats that is important to Wendy, plus these are cantrips, which lets you get to Wendy's Amulet and Abandoned and Alone faster.

PLAYSTYLE

Mulligan for Leo De Luca. If you don't have Amnesia, draw a lot early. You should maintain 8 cards early to mid game. You want to draw Wendy's Amulet and Abandoned and Alone early. Drawing Abandoned and Alone early mitigates its impact to your discard pile. Commit events to skill checks only to recur them via the amulet but make sure you have at least 1 copy left so that when Abandoned and Alone hits, you'll be okay. Once you have Wendy's Amulet, your deck and discard pile should never shuffle. You'll be playing events repeatedly (Emergency Cache, Backstab) and then drawing into them again. With Will to Survive, Wendy can have a very powerful 4 action turn and pass every check known in Arkham.

UPGRADES

Upgrade to Leo De Luca and Lucky! after scenario 1. After scenario 2, your choice between two copies of Will to Survive or Close Call. Close Call can replace Sneak Attack or Elusive. I found Elusive to be unusable in solo. Replace Unexpected Courage first. Having both Sneak Attack and Close Call turns Wendy into a combat machine.

Wendy Adams is a flexible and powerful investigator. She can investigate efficiently, gain lots of resources, deal damage fast, get to locations quickly and all the while replacing chaos tokens and having 4 actions.
