Role: Enemy Management but can cheat some clues if necessary.

Overview:

Combat: Try to find Sea Change Harpoon as soon as possible because combined with Silas' natural focus on skill cards it is basically an infinite 2 damage weapon. .18 Derringer is just a backup weapon in case you don't have the Harpoon.

Clues: With an intellect of just 2 it will be hard for Silas to grab clues naturally and reliable. However, some skills and Belly of the Beast can help you to discover clues when needed.

Evading: With an already high 4 that can easily go up to 6 or 7 with Peter Sylvestre, Track Shoes and Silas's Net Silas will be evading most enemies at ease. The net might seem to be a little underwhelming at first but it's actually brilliant if you use it to recur skills like Eureka!, Resourceful, Quick Thinking or Daring to your hand after the evade. The evade combined with Belly of the Beast is also quite helpful to grab some clues.

Encounter Protection: This seems like the actual weakness of Silas at first. However, with Peter Sylvestre and again skills it's not really that much of a problem. You can also just fail will test on purpose to trigger cards like Drawing Thin and Take Heart.

Economy: Silas doesn't need many resources because of all the free skills he has. If you still need some to play the key assets or for Scrapper, Drawing Thin and Take Heart can generate a huge amount of money in a pretty short time.

Card Draw: One thing that should never happen when playing Silas is that you run into an empty hand in mid-game. Silas basically wants to commit nonstop, so he also needs lots of card draw. Fortunately, many skill cards in this deck will let you draw cards just by committing them. Later you can also abuse the Grisly Totem + Take Heart combo or pull back Unrelenting for two free cards per turn.

Recursion: Now this is Silas's real strength, especially with the right upgrades. Resourceful combined with his signatures lets you bring back a -card from your discard pile and Resourceful itself to your hand. His elder sign ability is all about recursion, so make sure to add Eucatastrophe to your deck later. Another great upgrade option for the Recursion archetype that works really well with Silas is True Survivor.

Possible Upgrades: Shown in Side Deck.
