GENERAL APPROACH

CLUE GETTING

You might not be the main clue getter of your team, but trust me you will do pretty well sometimes that the in your team will sometimes look to you with bad eyes.

  • Sixth Sense is your passive card, you need to hard mulligan for this one or just dig into your deck until you find it, this is something that you can easily do with this deck.
  • Read the Signs is your action compression card, you always wants to pay with blood this card, in order to add it to your deck and more likely get it back.

ENEMY HANDLE

We have so many options to kill enemies, that it might be unfair that we can also get clues.

  • Brand of Cthugha; comparing with the others damage arcane slots, like Azure Flame, or Shrivelling, this one came with the flexibility to do 1/2/3 damage and cost 1 less, I agree that the negative effect could destroy you, but thats the only reason I added the Four of Cups . In addition, we have more damage in our deck that it does not affect the fact that it cannot do as much damage in total as the other ones.
  • Spectral Razor; this is one of the cards that you always want to pay with blood and return back to your deck, as it can safe you from engage and it does 3 damage.
  • Storm of Spirits; this is an alternative to Spectral Razor, not very worth it in solo (feel free to change it), but very powerfull in multiplayer. If you have resources pay it, otherwise, use your blood.
  • Blood-Rite : this can be either resource/draw generator, or testless damage for the weird times that you have extra resources.

ECONOMY/SETUP

  • Drawing; we have a lot of options here;
    • Heirloom of Hyperborea; This card is key on this deck, it will make your drawing from been average into been exceptional. The whole idea of this deck is to play spells, and for each spell that you play, you will draw a card, nothing else to say. Keep in mind that is not limited once per round, or turn.
    • Soothing Melody; I normally like Hallowed Mirror because healing is normally something good, but if you can add that you can convert that healing into money (2 resources per damage + 1 card if you have the Heirloom into play) the is much better. This card can be read it as:
      • Without Heirloom of Hyperborea
        • 4 resources/draw a card (and return it into your deck)
        • Or 6 resources/draw a card (discard it)
      • With Heirloom of Hyperborea
        • 4 resources/draw 4 cards (and return it into your deck)
        • Or 6 resources/draw 4 cards(and discard it)
        • Keep in mind that the card draw it for Heirloom of Hyperborea happens after the card was played, thus you can get this card.
    • Blood-Rite ; this card is more thematic, that anything else. However, it can give you extra resources, extra drawing (work with the Heirloom of Hyperborea), and extra damage if you don't mind discarding your precious cards. Testless damage is something very appreciated.
    • Arcane Initiate; Not brain behind this, more than half of your deck are spells, thus, Arcane Initiate give you a lot of value here. Be aware that Dark Memory is also a spell, that means that you can draw it in the right time, or that if it's the only spell in the search you are forced to draw it. I recommend that you do your search after your turn ended, unless you are looking for Sixth Sense.
  • Resources;
    • Pay with blood; I have mentioned this many times, but the amazing ability of parallel Agnes to reduce the cost of a Spell event by taking damage (plus the event get back into the deck, it does not get discarded), it allows us the infinite recursion of two of the best events in , Spectral Razor and Read the Signs.
    • Uncage the Soul; you want to use this either to pay for your spells assets, or use the icon in skill tests, events are paid with blood.
    • Robes of Endless Night; in Parallel Agnes, the robes is "free", you can play it for 2 resources, and then put a damage on them to pay for a spell for free, works pretty well with Storm of Spirits were you can also play for free.
      • You can play the second Brand of Cthugha in the middle of an engaged enemy, very usefull.
      • Beside the ^, the robes loose value per each turn that is not in play.
    • Blood-Rite : not very worth it, but you can use it to generate resources when you need.

ENCOUNTER PROT

  • Ward of Protection; not much to say, it's an event, you can pay with blood and return it to your deck, and if you are playing a campaign you can have up to 6........
