[The Drowned City] Daniela Reyes (21 xp)

Daniela is getting a lot of great cards for her in The Drowned City expansion, in particular The Book of War and Gift of Nodens, allowing her to loop her 3 damage blows, and Crowbar.

I used Grim Memoir as a placeholder for The Book of War.

The Book of War

Play Toe to Toe, tank the enemy's attack with Jessica Hyde & Flesh Ward and place a charge on Bangle of Jinxes. At the end of your turn, return Toe to Toe to your hand with The Book of War.

That's 3 testless damage once per turn during 4 turns, to which you can commit skill cards for guaranteed effects (Long Shot for damage, Unrelenting for card draw, Resourceful for recursion).

Note: have someone in your team play Oculus Mortuum for even more synergy.

Gift of Nodens

Commit Brute Force to a basic attack. Return it to your hand with Resourceful, or use it directly from your discard with Gift of Nodens

While Toe to Toe loop is a consistent once per turn effect, Brute Force with Gift of Nodens can be used twice in the same turn in case burst damage is needed: commit from your hand, then immediately commit from your discard.

This is not a discard deck, so there are no cards with pay-off effects for being discarded. When using Gift of Nodens, discard the second copy of your assets, or resource cards that are no longer needed.

At some point many of your skill cards will be stuck at the bottom of your deck. Persistence provides a way to shuffle your deck in hopes of bringing them back up.

Crowbar

Crowbar complements this deck nicely: finish an enemy with 1 remaining health, or contribute to the clueving effort by grabbing 1 clue during off turns.
